This project was inspired by the beauty of practice and process.

Over the years my green thumb has grown along with my illustration skills. One of my first digital illustrations was of a Monstera back in early 2020 before the first Covid lockdown. After looking through my portfolio, I challenged myself to another luscious, leafy house plant again after 2 years in the industry. This spurred on a self-driven challenge to create a series of digitally illustrated house plants maintaining a consistent style and level of detail. Although with still so much to learn, it was a great way to reflect upon the knowledge gained and creative perspective I’ve developed. This was a really enjoyable, therapeutic project that fuelled my love of colour, creativity and creative process.
